Nurses and Hypochondriacs is a storytelling show about “Nurses and Hypochondriacs,” ie patients taking the stage and telling true stories from the heart.

The show originated from Ersilia Pompilio’s solo show “The Nurse and The Hypochondriacs,” about the perils of being a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and dating “Hypochondriacs.” The show debuted in Hollywood, California at the Neon Venus theater in 2012.

Nurses and Hypochondriacs, a storytelling show was launched at the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival with five performances and twenty storytellers. The show was a great hit with stories that made people laugh, cry and vomit (I don’t have any real proof of this, it sounds funny though!).

The storytelling format is a great way to educate the public about the nursing profession and the patient experience.

Today, Nurses and Hypochondriacs Storytelling is a 501(3)(c) company. We have performed at storytelling festivals, benefits, and hospitals. All donations are tax deductible.
